This was an extra credit exercise that I did for my own exercise, as opposed to turning in for class since technically I'm turning it in late. So the credit I am getting from it is the experience of the exercise. This was fun. My images are of a free newspaper stand in Hollywood, a PeeWee Herman doll, and a cat that came into the Apple store I used to work at, during the Snow Leopard release. This cat was adorable and totally looked like the snow leopard on the package! Plus, he was fairly well trained, walking on a leash with his owner. And he was HUGE!!! So, I thought I'd commemorate him in this kaleidoscope.

I had an excellent adventurous weekend and was looking forward to class today. Had fun with the collages for class and was very curious to see what everyone else put together. But I should have seen it coming. Traffic lights were out the entire way to school. I saw Tommy's Hamburgers lose power completely. Okay, attempt three at posting this blog. :: flabbergasted :: I seriously was almost done and would accidentally click the photo and BAM! I'd be looking at my blog in the blog entry place and my text would be gone. ::insert Homer Simpson "DOH!" here::

So I found out today that I was the first one in class to turn in the Nantucket project. Not bragging since Jocelyn said I didn't do the project right since parts of the bridge were still used in the composition. No problem! Just exercise, right? So in class, I joined everyone in working on this project and created a second one! While in the last composition I was influenced by snakes, apparently in this one I was influenced by Homer Simpson. Mmmmmm.... forbidden donuts.....

This week's exercise is to take the provided image of a bridge in Nantucket and remove it. Replace the bridge with another image.

This week's exercise was to give examples of Lines, Points, and Planes. I looked around myself and used sewing pins, a faux pearl necklace, and a rubber Speedball block to create visual examples.
